Who’s behind copadre?
Before you put our code on your website and trust us with your Claude API key, here’s a little about who we are.
A British software company.
copadre is built and run by This Company (Digital) Limited (opens in a new tab), a software company that has been building websites for clients for over twenty years. We made copadre because we needed to put AI on our clients’ sites and nothing did it the way we wanted.
We are Cyber Essentials certified and are assessed annually. Our hosting partner is also Cyber Essentials certified and all data is located in the UK.
We love talking to people about how to get the most out of copadre. We’re the sort of company where, if you ask a difficult question, you will likely hear back from one of the people who built the system.
The assistant on this site is a copadre agent, built in the same app you’d use and added with the same embed snippet. When it can’t answer something, we get told, and we go and teach it — exactly as you would.
Private by nature.
copadre is a good choice for anyone wanting to implement AI assistants in a privacy-conscious way.
There is nothing built into copadre that makes any attempt to identify who users are, or to track users as they move across pages or sites.
There are good reasons to disclose personal information to a website assistant, such as providing an email address so that an enquiry can be followed up. With copadre the choice to disclose identity is 100% in the hands of users.
No advertising.
Our customers deserve better than to have a copadre logo or link forced into their website.
None of our plans contain any advertising for copadre, which puts us on our own in this market — see how the leading platforms compare. There is nothing in the copadre service designed to promote copadre to end users.
copadre outputs clean, structured HTML with no styling tags. All visual elements can be fully customised using CSS.
Why only Claude models?
We think Claude is the best, and we want copadre to be the best. It’s as simple as that.
Our customers run businesses. They aren't AI specialists and they don't want to be. They don't want a menu of model names that changes every month, or to spend their time chasing something a little faster or a little cheaper. They want something that works, from a company that they’ve heard of. Claude gives you a real choice, on capability and on price, from one supplier you can rely on, and that's the choice we think a business should be making.
We're open to adding other models. Nobody has asked.
Are we there yet?
We have a roadmap for copadre and we also add new features in response to the needs of our customers.
We see opportunities in a greater data processing capability, in handling image files and in audio capabilities, including speech-to-text. We can see a part for copadre to play within other channels, such as WhatsApp and other social channels.
We are always happy to talk about ideas for making copadre more useful.

There is no outside investment behind copadre — no fund waiting for a return, and no plan to sell the platform on. copadre is fully funded and is focused on serving customers and growing the service.
